TESTIMONIALS / REFRENCES
My name is Yoni Cohen and I came from the south of France for the level one instructor course in Fort Collins Colorado. I started martial arts at a very young age, Judo and Karate Kyokushinkai, I then went on to Muay thai and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. I have Military training in the french Army, and i work in Security.
This Course was the best training I have taken and the best spent money If you are looking for a course run by true professionals, do this one I came home mentally and physically prepared, you won't be taught how to do flying kicks, you will be taught reality and how to react to life and death situations
See you soon Avi,

I am a Policeman in Dundee. On a recent night shift I used the training I received from you twice in the same night.
The first incident was outside a night club where a man had been arrested by other officers and some of his friends were trying to free him from the arresting officer. The arrested man was struggling violently as well. When I arrived I was helping to restrain the man who had been arrested when one of his friends tried to choke me from behind. It is fair to say that he regretted it and that his sex life may never be quite the same again.
The training I received from you helped me resolve this conflict quickly, which was fortunate, as there was hostile crowd watching and you can never be sure what such a crowd will do . . . they can be like animals in that if they sense weakness in the officer's response they will join in.
Later that night a similar situation happened where friends were trying to release a man who had been arrested. As I approached, a man was trying to pull a colleague away from the prisoner. Having masked each other countless times during our instructors course, I thought it was time to try it for real and was delighted at how easy and effective it was. My prisoner was certainly impressed, as when I shouted at him to stay on the ground and be still he replied that he had no intention of moving. I am looking forward to more training early next year.
It is my pleasure sending you a testimonial. I completed my Kapap Level 1 Instructor with Avi Nardia in Nov 05. I thoroughly enjoyed the course it was tough training but a very enjoyable experience. I learnt a vast amount about Kapap principles and techniques. Avi Nardia has a huge knowledge of Kapap. I also found Avi to be a very approachable and humorous person. The instruction was 1st class. all done in a friendly and safe manner. I would definitely recommend training with Avi if you get the opportunity. Best wishes for the future. Many thanks

"Avi brings real life experience and real combat experience to a real new world need. He provides the thorough training and practical applications needed to face real life confrontations. Avi's training is exactly what I need to face my everyday challenges as a Correctional Officer."

I have been training martial arts for 25 years and work as professional security instructor in Finland. I went for KAPAP insrtuctor course level 1 in Gothenbourg, Sweden. Major Avi Nardia really impressed me by the professional teaching and knowledge of realistic close-hand-combat and self-defence. Mr. Albert Timen introduced the Israeli point- shooting in enthusiastic and efficient way. I realized that shooting really is also a martial art.
KAPAP is highly recommended for all the people from civilians to special forces. KAPAP is realistic with all the aspects one needs for surviving without any additional ”tricks”
Both Avi and Albert are very highly skilled professional in their field and also very symphatetic persons which makes their teaching very enjoyable.
I am very happy becoming a member of the KAPAP family and really proud in presenting the system in my country. Pertti Kuronen

In an era of Martial Arts “Masters” and self proclaimed “experts”, training with Avi is a refreshing change. Avi has experienced combat first hand, and has no delusions about the process to pass on to those prepared to listen. An intelligent, analytical thinker with extensive practical experience of conflict, Avi makes a great teacher for those who may be in harms way, or those who seek to avoid it.

"Speaking as a law enforcement officer, KAPAP has given me new insight into close quarters combat and is the best training that I've taken. It gives you the satisfaction that you have learned techniques that are truly useful, but it also gives you the desire to learn more and train even harder. Avi Nardia creates a professional but yet relaxed atmosphere for his intensive training courses. It truly is an outstanding student/teacher experience. Both Avi and Albert are second to none in real world experience."

Thanks for the good arrest control the other week, it was the the most comprehensive I've had since the academy. I really loved the knife fighting and grappling. Incidentally just yesterday morning, Deputy Plamer was jumped by two inmates in one of the DSU modules. I heard 2nd hand she credited her preformance and lack of severe injuries to the arrest control training you, Hamblin, and Sergeant Smoker put on. Good job. Thanks again for the great training. Hola Antes de iniciar mis comentarios acerca del seminario de Kapap en México les quiero agradecer a Avi y a ti el haber aceptado venir a México sin conocernos, gracias por la confianza. Espero no haberlos defraudado.

Thanks again for a fantastic week, I look forward to training with you and Albert in August. You both have given me knowledge that I am proud to hold.
I am trying to set up a website, courses etc. all of which I hope will be fitting of Kapap and the Kapap family, on completion I will send on the details to show you.
Again many thanks for your help on the course, and pass on my thanks to Albert also.
Your friend,
David Lewis
I am writing to tell you how much I enjoyed your seminar in Sheffield. I have been studying KAPAP for 5 months now and have enjoyed every session. Craig and Debbie are great instructors, they create a great atmosphere to learn and they clearly have a lot of knowledge to pass on. I was deeply impressed by yours and Albert's ability and technique. Your expertise was a great source of inspiration and I wish to take that inspiration to further enhance my own skills. Even though I find KAPAP a faultless Martial Art I wondered if there were any other Martial Arts to compliment it. I look forward to getting the chance to attend any of your future seminars.
Yours,
Chris Wragg
Just writing to say thank you very much for your tuition in the class on sunday, everyone at the club appreciated your extra effort to travel from Wakefield, especially after a full week of training. Its amazing to see how flowing and natural it looks when someone of your standard teaches people of our level. it has further renewed my intrest and motivation to train harder and smarter in BJJ,although it also shows how low i am in ability and how far i have to travel to reach the standard that you demonstrated. thank you also for the Kapap seminar i can only repeat what i have said above. many thanks and i hope you will be so kind to train us again in BJJ, thanks for cutting off my air supply!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you both for last weeks KAPAP level 1 course held at Wakefield.
The professionalism and depth of knowledge you both have on martial arts and CQB is of an excellent high standard. Added with real time experience to justify why it is done a certain way further convinced me that this is by far the best and most realistic self defence system in the world. Your teaching methods were structured and relaxed coupled with an enthusiasm that enabled all that took part to retain the KAPAP principles and have an enjoyable time learning.
I'm very proud to have done the course and happy to become part of the KAPAP family. I'm looking forward to training with you more in the future and to develop my new found knowledge.
All the best,
Simon Littlewood
Hi Guys,
That was a great seminar, and the best gun disarm seminar I have experienced. Many people have told me the same thing. And when I review it in Realfighting, in the new version, I will state that it's the best gun disarms anywhere.

I’m writing this memo to inform you of a situation involving one of our deputies who had to fight for her life!
As you know I attended your level one Kapap instructor course in Texas. I found this course to be one of the best I have ever attended as an instructor. I have been an Arrest control Instructor for over 12 years with certifications from the FBI, PPCT, and several others.
We used some of the combat conditioning drills in our annual defensive tactics training. The drill that saved one of our deputies was the accordion drill Avi taught us. This drill simulates fighting two suspects at the same time. The deputy had received this training one week before she was involved in this fight.
The Deputy was working one of our modules in the jail when she was confronted by a female inmate in the dayroom. The female inmate started yelling at the deputy and then attacked her. The deputy hit her panic button and started defending herself. The deputy said another female inmate then attacked her from the rear. She was now fighting two inmates at the same time! The female deputy told me the training she received from our class the week before kicked in and she started using front kicks and strikes to keep both inmates away. She did this until helped arrived about 1 minute. The Deputy thanked me for the training and said she would have been seriously hurt, in her opinion, if she had not received this training a week before.
As you know many times as instructors we are not told if or when our training works. I just wanted to say your training works and simulates real life situations. Keep up the good work!
Sincerely,
Dan Sullivan

In my career, I have studied a variety of martial arts styles and techniques. KAPAP has impressed me greatly. I feel that it is one of the most effective CQB styles ever developed. KAPAP has "real world"
application, and has been "field tested". I highly recommend it to military, law enforcement, and security personnel.
Sincerely,

As a career United States Naval Officer I have traveled a great deal. In official and unofficial capacities I’ve been afforded the unique opportunity of training in many traditional, non-traditional, and Close Quarters Battle (CQB) systems with a large number of extremely knowledgeable and arguably lethal individuals. In retrospect, very few of these well-meaning professionals carry the same level of skill, real world combat experiences, love of their respective art, and compassion for sharing their knowledge in its purest form than does Avi Nardia and Albert Timen. These gentlemen are an enigma in the self defense world. When so many individuals are jockeying for economic status, or lobbying for their next black belt, Avi and Albert have stuck to the steadfast position of sharing the principles that they hold dear.
As a life-long student of real world self defense, there are a handful of instructors/practitioners today that I would willingly follow into combat or stand alongside when violence reared its ugly head on the street. Without hesitation, Avi and Albert would need only ask and I would be there. My son and my students and I are better for having trained with Avi and Albert!

I recently took the Israeli point shooting class with Albert Timen and Avi Nardia. To me, in order for a shooting seminar to be a success, it needs to be first of all safe and second of all educational. As always, the class was a huge success. Albert is such a stickler for safety and all the basic moves and routines of point shooting.
However, as the class progressed I understood that all the safety and basic, simple moves were necessary to move on to the more advanced techniques learned. It is amazing that in 3 to 4 days, a person with absolutely no experience with guns can become proficient enough to perform crowd control drills, speed loading drills and various other complicated acts with their handguns. This is simply a testament to the teaching skills and wealth of knowledge possesed by Albert and Avi. If you want to learn REAL Israeli point shooting and not the B.S. most other combat shooting instructors teach, I would highly recommend the class.
